A printed booklet of letters written by Joseph Stoddard Lathrop ( 1815-1877) and Abigail Alexander Pomeroy (1815 - 1861) during 1837 and 1838. The couple was married October 16, 1838. Abigail's grandfather, Dr. Medad Pomeroy, was a physician who practiced in Northfield and Warwick. Her father, also named Medad was a farmer in Warwick.
A note from the donor, Louise Rexford Wilson, from Amherst, is enclosed as is a note of thanks, dated Feb 17, 1960
This book, compiled and edited by Wendy Sibbison in 1983 is intended as a reference tool for people engaged in research on the area known as the Pioneer Valley (Franklin, Hampshire & Hampden Counties) It consists of 3 sections: a Special Collections section, an Experts section, and an Index.
